Overtime Assignment. Where reasonable, the Employer will make every effort to distribute overtime on a fair and equitable basis among qualified employees by; 1) classification who normally perform the work; 2) designated work location; and 3) those who are presently working. Distribution of overtime shall not apply to overtime work when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment. Employees must provide their supervisor with a maximum of two (2) designated contact numbers and only one (1) attempt to contact each designated number will be made. This does not apply to employees on personal preventative medical and dental leave. d) In the case of an emergency outside of regular working hours, the employee physically located closest to the site of the emergency may be called out of order of the overtime opportunity list. Employees who do not normally perform the work but are physically located closest to the site may be called only after all employees who normally perform the work and are physically located close to the site have been called. e) No employee will be required to work overtime against his/her wishes when other suitable and qualified employees are available to perform the required work. If no qualified employees are available to perform the required work, the most qualified junior employee(s) will be required to perform the overtime. f) The Employer agrees to post overtime opportunities and overtime hours offered on a monthly basis. The employer shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that overtime is shared equitably. The parties agree that sharing of overtime may not be equal.

Overtime is offered in the following sequence: (except for a job that continues to run past the end of the shift) i) To those who normally perform the work starting with the individual with the lowest overtime hours worked offered. ii) In rotation, starting with individuals with the lowest overtime hours worked/offered, from other employees in the same job classification. iii) By rotation, starting with the individuals with the lowest overtime hours worked/offered, from other employees in the plant, provided training is not required. iv) If an employee has declared that they are available for overtime at the start of their shift and are physically located they later decline an offer of overtime, they will drop to the bottom of the list of overtime hours that they have worked. 8. The employee performing the work on days during the week will be offered Saturday overtime first. 9. Overtime list will be available to the Union upon request, but only once per quarter. 1. Both parties recognize the importance of lessening as much as reasonable, the effects technological change may have upon the job security of an employee. 2. The Company will notify the Union as soon as possible in advance of any technological change which may cause a displacement of employees from their jobs. The Company will meet and inform the Union of the planned change and will hold further meetings with the Union, if requested, for the purpose of discussing general matters of mutual concern affecting the interest of the employees affected. 3. Technological change shall mean the automation of equipment, or the mechanization or automation of duties. 4. If an employee is displaced because of technological change, that employee may: (a) Exercise their plant-wide seniority and displace the least senior employee in a job classification that in the Company’s opinion the employee should be able to perform, with training if necessary, within 30 working days or less. The Company will make every reasonable attempt to place the employee in a job classification that comes as close to the site have been called. e) No employee will be required to work overtime against his/her wishes when other suitable and qualified employees are available to perform the required work. Generally, the Employer practice is one of offering the weekend overtime to the employee who has performed the job through the week. Overtime Assignment. Where reasonableRecognizing that the nature of the Company’s operations requires overtime from time to time, it is agreed that being available for and performing overtime work, daily or weekly where needed, constitutes a part of the duties and responsibilities of any employee’s job.
