OVERTIME RULES Sample Clauses

The Overtime Rules clause defines the conditions under which employees are eligible for overtime pay and how such compensation is calculated. Typically, this clause specifies the threshold of hours worked beyond the standard workweek that qualifies as overtime, outlines the applicable overtime rate (such as time-and-a-half), and may detail any exceptions or special procedures for approval. Its core practical function is to ensure compliance with labor laws, provide clarity to both employers and employees regarding overtime entitlements, and prevent disputes over extra work compensation.
