Payment of Allowances. As allowances accrue in accordance with Sections 9.4 and 9.5, above, they shall be paid on the first pay period after such allowances accrue, providing the proper documentation is submitted in a timely fashion to the Contractor. Payment of Allowances. The employer shall pay to any employee, entitled to the above allowances, such allowances together with the employee's ordinary remuneration.

Payment of Allowances. 14.1. The Split Shift Allowance specified in Appendix 1 will be paid when an employee works a split shift and where one of the shifts does not form part of the employee’s guaranteed hours of work. 14.2. The Night Allowance specified in Appendix 1 will be paid when an employee commences work for a day after 9pm and finishes before 8am the following calendar day. 14.3. The Saturday and Sunday Allowance specified in Appendix 1 will be paid when an employee works any hours between Friday midnight and the next 48 hours (midnight Sunday). The Saturday and Sunday allowance shall be paid at the rate of $4.00 per hour for each hour or part thereof so worked for any employee other than Registered Nurses. For Registered Nurses the Saturday and Sunday allowance shall be paid at the rate of 40% of the ordinary hourly rate paid to the Registered Nurse for all hours worked within the timeframe defined herein. 14.4. Where an employee is entitled to the Night Duty Allowance and the Saturday or Sunday Allowance only the higher of those two allowances shall be paid. 14.5. The Meal Allowance specified in Appendix 1 will be paid as provided in clause 11.2. 14.6. The Short Notice Allowance specified in Appendix 1 will be paid to permanent employees who with the approval of the manager or designated person are called in to work at two hours or less notice.
Payment of Allowances. (a) Allowances will be adjusted annually from 1st July each year based on the agreed percentage pay increase of 2.75% (b) Allowances are calculated on the employee’s ordinary rate of pay (base rate). (c) Part time employees will be paid pro-rata for all allowances.

Landlord or its Lender may retain from each progress payment an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the invoiced amount. Upon submission to Landlord of satisfactory evidence of lien free completion of the Tenant Improvements, Landlord shall pay the balance, including all retainage amounts, provided that the total payments made by Landlord shall not exceed Two Million One Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Two Hundred and no/100ths Dollars ($2,153,200.00). Tenant shall pay all Tenant Improvement Costs in excess of such amount.
