Common use of Point of Assembly Clause in Contracts

Point of Assembly. (a) When it would be more convenient for an employee to mobilise direct to the Designated Point of Embarkation rather than via the Designated Point of Assembly and the Company agrees, the employee will be paid up to the equivalent of the economy airfare cost to the Company from the Designated Point of Assembly to the Designated Point of Embarkation. In such situations the employee will be responsible for their own transport arrangements. (b) An employee utilising an alternative Point of Assembly will be entitled to reimbursement of their costs up to a maximum amount equivalent to the costs that would have been incurred had the employee travelled from and to the Designated Point of Assembly. An employee utilising an alternative Point of Assembly will be responsible for any additional costs.
