POLLUTION EXCLUSION Sample Clauses
The Pollution Exclusion clause serves to exclude coverage for damages or liabilities arising from pollution-related incidents under an insurance policy. Typically, this clause applies to losses caused by the release, discharge, or escape of pollutants such as chemicals, waste, or hazardous substances, whether accidental or gradual. By clearly defining and excluding pollution events, the clause limits the insurer's exposure to environmental risks and ensures that policyholders are aware that such incidents are not covered, thereby allocating risk and preventing disputes over environmental claims.
