Common use of Position Outside the Bargaining Unit Clause in Contracts

Position Outside the Bargaining Unit. No employee shall be promoted or transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit without their consent. If an employee is promoted or transferred to a position outside of the bargaining unit he/she shall retain his/her seniority acquired at the date of leaving the unit for a period of not more than eighteen (18) months for temporary positions and not more than six (6) months for permanent positions.
