Precedence of Documentation Sample Clauses

The Precedence of Documentation clause establishes the order of authority among various documents that make up an agreement. In practice, if there is a conflict or inconsistency between different documents—such as the main contract, appendices, schedules, or referenced policies—this clause specifies which document's terms will prevail. For example, it may state that the main contract overrides any conflicting provisions in an attached schedule. This ensures clarity and prevents disputes by providing a clear hierarchy for resolving contradictions within the contractual documentation.
