RECOGNITION CLAUSE Sample Clauses

A Recognition Clause formally acknowledges the existence, validity, or authority of a particular party, agreement, or set of rights within a contract. In practice, this clause may require one party to recognize the legal standing of another, such as an employer recognizing a labor union as the exclusive bargaining representative of employees. By including this clause, the contract ensures mutual understanding and acceptance of certain facts or relationships, thereby preventing disputes over legitimacy or authority during the contract’s term.
