Common use of Regular Seniority Clause in Contracts

Regular Seniority. (a) Seniority for a Regular Nurse commences on the date of the first shift worked as a Regular Nurse in the Bargaining Unit and shall operate on a Bargaining Unit wide basis unless otherwise specified in the Collective Agreement. (b) Seniority may be bypassed when the Employer establishes the need for special skills or qualifications. (c) Same Date Seniority Regular Nurses

(c) Same Date Seniority Regular Nurses‌ In the event that two or more Regular Nurses commence work in the Bargaining Unit on the same date, the Nurses’ placement on the Seniority list shall be determined by random draw.
