Regular Work Day and Regular Work Week. Employees shall work seven and one-quarter (7¼) consecutive hours per work day exclusive of meal periods and thirty-six and one-quarter (36¼) hours per work week. Alterations to the foregoing shall only be by written mutual consent of both the parties to this Collective Agreement. This provision does not relate to the times of work in Section :03, or the days of work in Section :04.

Times of Work The normal hours of work shall be from A.M. to Monday to Friday inclusive but where it is necessary to provide service on Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, sufficient staff for that purpose shall be maintained at the discretion of the Employer. Where the nature of the work, the exigencies of the service or existing regulations are such that it is not possible to observe the hours prescribed in Section the Employer may set different hours of work. Any variations to a work day or work week other than those described in Section shall only be instituted with the mutual consent of both the parties hereto.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Regular Work Schedules The regular work schedule for overtime-eligible employees will not be more than forty (40) hours in a workweek, with two (2) consecutive calendar days off and starting and ending times as determined by the requirements of the position and the Employer. The Employer may adjust the regular work schedule with prior notice to the employee.

  • Regular Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except that they may be interrupted by a lunch period.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.
