Common use of Requirement to Work Overtime Clause in Contracts

Requirement to Work Overtime. 5.4.1 The Company may require an Employee to work reasonable overtime in addition to scheduled hours and the Employee will work reasonable overtime in accordance with such requirements. It is also recognised that from time to time some Employees may request to work less hours due to personal/banking commitments. Requests to work a shorter day will be considered on their merits. 5.4.2 The assignment of overtime by the Company to an Employee will be based on specific work requirements and the practice of “one in, all in” overtime will not apply. 5.4.3 Where an Employee is unable to work reasonable overtime, for personal reasons, the matter will be dealt with on a case by case basis, between management and the Employee.
