REQUIREMENTS AS TO CONTINUITY OF SERVICE. 14.01 Service requirements for advancement within the compensation schedules and for other purposes as specified in this ordinance shall have the implication of continuous service, which means employment within the City service without break or interruption. Leave of absence with or without pay of not to exceed thirty-one (31) days shall not interrupt continuous service nor be deducted therefrom. Leave of absence without pay in excess of thirty-one (31) days, except for extended service with the Armed Forces of the United States, shall be deducted in computing total service, but shall not serve to interrupt continuous service. 14.02 All absences without leave in excess of one (1) day shall be deducted from, and all absences without leave in excess of three (3) days shall interrupt continuity of service. In the case of repeated absences without leave, the City Manager may consider the service of the employee interrupted and shall have the record of the employee to show the same. 14.03 Where the services of an employee have been terminated by the City for economic reasons and said employee continues to perform services for the City although paid under a State or Federal program, and said employee is subsequently rehired by the City during or immediately after the expiration of said State or Federal program shall be included as a part of length of service with the City and shall not constitute an interruption of City service for any purpose within this Article.

Leaves of absence with pay and leaves without pay of twenty or less days shall not interrupt continuous service nor be deducted there from. Once an employee completes the probationary period for the position and resigns voluntarily (is not fired), then the appointing authority who need not re-employ the employee unless it wishes to do so, must give the person all benefits and seniority as if there was no break in service. No credit will be given for the period the employee was not employed by the town. No retroactive payments are to be made.
REQUIREMENTS AS TO CONTINUITY OF SERVICE. 1. Service requirements for advancement within the compensation ranges and for other purposes as specified in this agreement, shall have the implication or continuous service, which mean employment in the school district without break or interruption. All absences without leave in excess of three (3) work days in any calendar year shall be deducted from and shall interrupt continuity of service. 2. For purpose of counting years of service, in arriving at placement on longevity pay steps, one year of service shall be granted for time spent as a full-time employee for at least one school year of nine months’ duration. Full-time shall be considered to be a job classified as requiring 27.5 hours per week or more. One-half year may be granted for full-time employment for at least five months. One-half year of service shall be granted for time spent as a part-time (less than 27.5 hours per week) employee for each separate school year of nine months. No service time shall be granted for part-time service for a separate school year of less than nine months. No service time shall be granted for time spent as a substitute; and shall not be eligible to advance to longevity steps as long as the employee remains a substitute. 3. Service in other jobs in the school district, outside of school Nutritional Service positions, will not be countable towards longevity service. 4. Employees will be held on the Base Rate Step if they have not completed the School Lunch Basic Food Course at Kirkwood Community College or an acceptable substitute course approved by the school Nutritional Service Director.

  • Continuity of Service It shall be the right of all Subscribers to continue receiving Cable Service insofar as their financial and other obligations to the Grantee are honored, and subject to ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’s rights under Section 15.2 of this Franchise.

  • Continuity of Services A. The Contractor recognizes that the service(s) to be performed under this Contract are vital to the State and must be continued without interruption and that, upon Contract expiration, a successor, either the State or another contractor, may continue them. The Contractor agrees to: Furnish phase-in training; and Exercise its best efforts and cooperation to effect an orderly and efficient transition to a successor. B. The Contractor shall, upon the State's written notice: Furnish phase-in, phase-out services for up to sixty (60) days after this Contract expires; and Negotiate in good faith a plan with a successor to determine the nature and extent of phase-in, phase-out services required. The plan shall specify a training program and a date for transferring responsibilities for each division of work described in the plan, and shall be subject to the State's approval. The Contractor shall provide sufficient experienced personnel during the phase-in, phase-out period to ensure that the services called for by this Contract are maintained at the required level of proficiency. C. The Contractor shall allow as many personnel as practicable to remain on the job to help the successor maintain the continuity and consistency of the services required by this Contract. The Contractor also shall disclose necessary personnel records and allow the successor to conduct on-site interviews with these employees. If selected employees are agreeable to the change, the Contractor shall release them at a mutually agreeable date and negotiate transfer of their earned fringe benefits to the successor. D. The Contractor shall be reimbursed for all reasonable phase-in, phase-out costs (i.e., costs incurred within the agreed period after contract expiration that result from phase-in, phase-out operations).

  • Establishment of Service 6.1 After receiving certification as a local exchange company from the appropriate regulatory agency, <<customer_name>> will provide the appropriate BellSouth service center the necessary documentation to enable BellSouth to establish a master account for <<customer_name>>’s resold services. Such documentation shall include the Application for Master Account, proof of authority to provide telecommunications services, an Operating Company Number ("OCN") assigned by the National Exchange Carriers Association ("NECA") and a tax exemption certificate, if applicable. When necessary deposit requirements are met, as described in Section 6.6 below, BellSouth will begin taking orders for the resale of service. 6.2 Service orders will be in a standard format designated by BellSouth. 6.3 <<customer_name>> shall provide to BellSouth a blanket letter of authorization ("LOA") certifying that <<customer_name>> will have End User authorization prior to viewing the End User's customer service record or switching the End User's service. BellSouth will not require End User confirmation prior to establishing service for <<customer_name>>’s End User customer. <<customer_name>> must, however, be able to demonstrate End User authorization upon request. 6.4 BellSouth will accept a request directly from the End User for conversion of the End User's service from <<customer_name>> to BellSouth or will accept a request from another CLEC for conversion of the End User's service from <<customer_name>> to such other CLEC. Upon completion of the conversion BellSouth will notify <<customer_name>> that such conversion has been completed. 6.5 If BellSouth is informed that an unauthorized change in local service to <<customer_name>> has occurred, BellSouth will reestablish service with the appropriate local service provider and will assess <<customer_name>> as the CLEC initiating the alleged unauthorized change, the unauthorized change charge described in FCC Tariff No. 1, Section 13 or applicable state tariff. Appropriate nonrecurring charges, as set forth in Section A4 of the General Subscriber Service Tariff, will also be assessed to <<customer_name>>. In accordance with FCC Slamming Liability Rules, the relevant governmental agency will determine if an unauthorized change has occurred. Resolution of all relevant issues shall be handled directly with the authorized CLEC and <<customer_name>>. 6.6 BellSouth reserves the right to secure the account with a suitable form of security deposit, unless satisfactory credit has already been established. 6.6.1 Such security deposit shall take the form of cash for cash equivalent, an irrevocable Letter of Credit or other forms of security acceptable to BellSouth. Any such security deposit may be held during the continuance of the service as security for the payment of any and all amounts accruing for the service. 6.6.2 If a security deposit is required, such security deposit shall be made prior to the inauguration of service. 6.6.3 Such security deposit shall be two months' estimated billing. 6.6.4 The fact that a security deposit has been made in no way relieves <<customer_name>> from complying with BellSouth's regulations as to advance payments and the prompt payment of bills on presentation nor does it constitute a waiver or modification of the regular practices of BellSouth providing for the discontinuance of service for non-payment of any sums due BellSouth. 6.6.5 BellSouth reserves the right to increase the security deposit requirements when, in its reasonable judgment, changes in <<customer_name>>'s financial status so warrant and/or gross monthly billing has increased beyond the level initially used to determine the security deposit. 6.6.6 In the event service to <<customer_name>> is terminated due to <<customer_name>>'s default on its account, any security deposits held will be applied to <<customer_name>>'s account. 6.6.7 Interest on a cash or cash equivalent security deposit shall accrue and be paid in accordance with the terms in the appropriate BellSouth tariff.

  • Quality of Service Contractor shall perform its services with care, skill, and diligence, in accordance with the applicable professional standards currently recognized by such profession, and shall be responsible for the professional quality, technical accuracy, completeness, and coordination of all reports, designs, drawings, plans, information, specifications, and/or other items and services furnished under this Agreement. Contractor shall, without additional compensation, correct or revise any errors or deficiencies immediately upon discovery in its reports, drawings, specifications, designs, and/or other related items or services.

  • Statement of Service The employer shall, in the event of resignation or termination of employment, provide upon request to an employee whose employment has been terminated a written statement specifying the period of employment and the classification or type of work performed by the employee.
