Responsibility Pay/Temporary Transfer. Where an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a higher paying position within the bargaining unit, that employee shall be paid the starting rate in the higher salary range immediately above the employee’s current rate for all hours worked in the higher paying position, provided it’s higher. In the event that rate is not higher than the employee’s current rate, they will be placed at the next step of the salary range on the higher range.
