Common use of Rest Breaks Clause in Contracts

Rest Breaks. Employees working Monday to Friday will be entitled to: • 1 paid rest period of 20 minutes each morning, and a further 30 minute unpaid meal break. Employees working Saturday or Sunday will be entitled to: • 1 paid rest period of 20 minutes each morning, and where an employee works in excess of 5 hours, a further 30 minute paid meal break, at the appropriate rate.

Employees working Monday to Friday Friday, inclusive of a Saturday or Sunday, will be entitled to: • 1 paid rest period of 20 minutes each morning, and without deduction of pay; • a further 30 minute unpaid meal break. Employees working Saturday or Sunday will be entitled to: , Monday to Friday; and • 1 paid rest period of 20 minutes each morning, and where an employee works in excess of 5 hours, a further 30 minute paid meal break, breaks for Saturday and Sunday at the appropriate rateordinary time.
