Common use of Scheduling of Shifts Clause in Contracts

Scheduling of Shifts. (a) Scheduling Hours of Work It is recognized that the Employer has the right to schedule the hours of operation and employee hours of work to meet the changing needs of the business. (b) Maximizing Length of Shifts Pursuant to Article 12.03(a) above, while the Employer is entitled to schedule shifts of various lengths as provided for in this Agreement, the Employer will maximize the length of shifts through the work week before instituting a shift of lesser duration.
