Scope and Value of Work. 1. The Coalition Government have made a specific commitment on sharing information to tackle violence. The Coalition commitment specifically states that: “we will make hospitals share non-confidential information with the police so that they know where gun and knife crime is happening and can target stop and search in gun and knife crime hotspots.” In 2012, the Department of Health commissioned an audit to assess national performance on this commitment. By September 2012, the data had been collected and confirmed that only one third of areas across the country are delivering this work effectively. The Department of Health is seeking an organisation with an Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department to improve the information sharing in their own organisation and with other organisations across their region. The Coalition Commitment work is also a significant part of the DH * There is good evidence from Cardiff and the East of England (amongst others), that where there is strong clinical leadership for this work it is possible to develop effective information sharing practice to reduce violence and deliver the Coalition Commitment The Contractor will:  Develop and maintain high quality A&E data sharing work in their region in accordance with the College of Emergency Medicine guideline1  Promote a multi-agency response to community violence in order to prevent repeat attendances at A&E  Provide an expert support function for nurses and doctors involved in assessing patients who have experienced assault and provide specialist training and support to relevant A&Es in the region  Try to promote increased referral into alcohol, domestic violence and child protection functions in their hospital  Promote improved detection and reporting of knife violence in A&Es through developing the skills and competency of A&E staff  Provide progress reports to the Authority at regular intervals to be agreed

  • ARTICLE HOURS OF WORK The following provision designating regular hours on a daily tour and regular daily tours over the nursing schedule determined by the Hospital shall not be construed to be a guarantee of the hours of work to be performed on each tour or during each tour schedule. Subject to Article below:

  • Value of Completed Work If the Engineer defaults in the performance of this contract or if the State terminates this contract for fault on the part of the Engineer, the State will give consideration to the following when calculating the value of the completed work: (1) the actual costs incurred (not to exceed the rates set forth in Attachment E, Fee Schedule) by the Engineer in performing the work to the date of default; (2) the amount of work required which was satisfactorily completed to date of default; (3) the value of the work which is usable to the State; (4) the cost to the State of employing another firm to complete the required work; (5) the time required to employ another firm to complete the work; and (6) other factors which affect the value to the State of the work performed.

  • Scope of Work For the 2022/2023 Grant Period, the Provider will maintain a victim services program that will be available to provide direct services to victims of crime who are identified by the Provider or are presented to the Provider, as specified in the Provider’s 2022/2023 Grant Application as approved by the OAG and incorporated herein by reference.

  • Length of Work Year 1. The length of the work year for custodians, accountants, (excluding school lunch accountant), personnel specialist, maintenance, maintenance helpers, mechanics, purchasing coordinator, county receptionist, warehouse and property records coordinator shall be twelve months. 2. The length of the work year for attendance assistant and bus drivers shall be 188 days. 3. The length of the work year for school food service shall be 194 days.

  • Quality of Work Consultant agrees that all Services performed under this Agreement will conform to the specifications of the College, be free from errors, and be of professional quality according to applicable industry standards. Upon notice by the College, Consultant will promptly correct any defects without charge to the College unless the request is considered new work by both parties.
