The employee, to be eligible for holiday pay, must have worked the scheduled day before and the next scheduled working day following the holiday, unless on bona fide vacation or excused by the Employer. To be eligible for the Labor Day and Independence Day (July 4) holidays, an employee must work on a year-round basis (e.g. 260-day employee). A regular employee who works less than year round will be eligible for the Labor Day holiday when scheduled by the District to report to work in their regular position prior to Labor Day in order to start or prepare to start a new school year.
