Section 7.6. Overtime Clause Samples

Section 7.6. Overtime defines the rules and conditions under which employees are eligible for overtime pay. Typically, this clause outlines the threshold of hours worked beyond the standard workweek that qualify as overtime, the applicable overtime pay rate (such as time-and-a-half), and any necessary approvals or reporting procedures. Its core function is to ensure fair compensation for extra work and to provide clear guidelines for both employers and employees regarding overtime eligibility and payment, thereby reducing disputes and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Section 7.6. Overtime. 46 All hours worked in excess of forty (40) per workweek shall be compensated at one and one-half (1½) 47 times the employee's regular hourly rate; provided, however, that overtime must have the prior 48 approval of the District.
Section 7.6. Overtime. 14 Overtime rate is defined as being one and one-half (1½) times the employee's regular hourly rate of 15 pay.

Section 7.6. Overtime. 35 Supervisors will assign overtime when needed.
