Section 7.6. Overtime defines the rules and conditions under which employees are eligible for overtime pay. Typically, this clause outlines the threshold of hours worked beyond the standard workweek that qualify as overtime, the applicable overtime pay rate (such as time-and-a-half), and any necessary approvals or reporting procedures. Section 7.6. Overtime. 46 All hours worked in excess of forty (40) per workweek shall be compensated at one and one-half (1½) 47 times the employee's regular hourly rate; provided, however, that overtime must have the prior 48 approval of the District.

Section 7.6. Overtime. 36 Employees shall be compensated at one and one-half (1-1/2) times their base hourly rate for all hours 37 worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any week. Holidays, vacation and other approved leave hours 38 will be considered hours worked for the purpose of the computation of overtime. Overtime and/or 39 compensatory time must be authorized by the Superintendent or his/her designee except in 40 emergencies. Compensatory time rather than pay may be taken at the option of the employee.
