Shared Assignment Clause Samples

A Shared Assignment clause governs the conditions under which rights or obligations under a contract may be transferred to another party by more than one original party, typically requiring mutual consent. In practice, this means that if either party wishes to assign their interests or duties to a third party, both must agree to the assignment, and the process may involve written notice or approval. The core function of this clause is to ensure that neither party can unilaterally transfer their contractual responsibilities or benefits, thereby protecting both parties from unwanted changes in their contractual relationship.
