Secondary Level. All secondary employees will be assigned daily planning time equivalent to one (1) class period. An exception to this requirement has been made through contract waiver annually granted to ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇. The parties now agree that ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ may continue the practice outlined on their 2010-11 waiver from year to year without the necessity of asking the District and Association for a waiver. Secondary Level. 9.16.8.1 Teachers will be compensated for providing coverage for a classroom when a substitute has been requested and none is available. The rate of pay shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per period/hour. Secondary Level a. The District will do its best to keep the total number of students to one hundred sixty (160) per certified educator. If a certified educator does exceed one hundred seventy- four (174) students a collaborative solution will be sought. Due to the group nature of music and physical education classes, these guidelines shall not apply. Every effort will be made to balance multi-sectioned classes. b. Secondary Level. To be eligible for the secondary level of multi- lingual pay, a sworn employee must possess the ability to complete a Field Sobriety Test and a basic police investigation, and appropriately document the incident in a report, including obtaining a first person statement and/or booking arrestees in a secondary language. Non- sworn employees must be able to demonstrate equivalent skills applicable to the employee’s job duties to be eligible for secondary level multi-lingual incentive. An employee certified at the secondary level and required to use such skills in the course of his or her job shall be compensated in the amount of two hundred dollars ($200.00) per month.
