Shift Assignments. There will be three (3) categories of shifts: AM, PM and Night. In contrast, any Employee who calls out on an assigned mandatory shift/hours will move to the top of the rotational list (in addition to any other applicable attendance violation). (b) Eligible Employees shall bid for shift preferences within their Division or Unit in April and October of each year, at a time specified by the Employer, and such assignments shall be three awarded on the basis of rank seniority. In the event that two or more Employees within the same division or unit have identical rank seniority, the bid order shall be determined by lot or other method agreed to among the affected Employees. These assignments shall continue until the next shift bid on a specific date determined by the Employer, subject to the provisions of subsections (3b)(3) categories and (b)(4) below. In April and October of shifts: AMeach year, PM eligible Employees shall rebid for preferred shift assignments for the following six (6) months, which new assignments shall commence within one (1) month of the selection date, on a date specified by the Employer, for a period of six (6) months.
(c) After the bidding process and Night. Ifthe assignment of Employees to fixed pursuant to subsection (b), due the Employer may nevertheless reassign an Employee to an emergency another shift, with ten (10) days prior, written notice, based on operational needs, including but not limited to personnel shortages, vacancies, conflicts with supervision or co-workers, performance problems on the requested shift, or change in personal or family circumstances.
(d) Notwithstanding the shift assignment procedure of subsection (b), the Employer may assign a particular Employee to a different shift in order to comply with Ohio Minimum Jail Standards or other specific operational circumstancesneeds.
(e) Within one (1) year of the ratification of this Agreement in 2004, it becomes necessary the parties agree to change a unit member’s scheduled days implement through the Labor-Management Committee work schedules eliminating the occurrence of work or shift assignment temporarilyschedules with seven (7) consecutive work days.

Any start time changes will be bulletined as per this Article 5. The District shall notify the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ Special Representative, via email, of all job openings in the bargaining unit when they are available publicly posted. As a public agency, the District conducts open recruitments for a continuous six (6) month period due job vacancies. Should the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ Union wish to either
(1) an Employee out refer any applicant for consideration, they shall direct said individual to apply on a leave the District’s online job portal and shall notify the Human Resources Director via email the name of absence, or (2) a vacancy, Article 26, Posting the individual they have referred to. (e) Employees who are assigned to work under a contract with a ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County township shall be permitted to bid for their preferred shift under the procedure set forth in this Section, but only within their assigned township, and seniority shall govern only within the pool of Employees at that rank assigned to that township.
(f) In the event that the Employer assigns Detectives to other than fixed shifts, Detectives shall bid for shifts in accordance with the procedures of this Article, but shift preference shall be determined by rank seniority, defined as the length of continuous service in the rank of Detective with the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Sheriff’s Office.
(g) If an Employee assigned to a shift rotation procedure that would be equitably applied is involuntarily transferred or reassigned to all qualified staff beginning with the least senior qualified Employee. Howevera position or section on another shift, if the assignment would result in overtime or other premium payand more than three months remain before annual shift bidding, the Hospital Employee may move exercise his or her seniority to bump a less senior Employee on the shift on which the Employee was assigned prior to the next qualified Employee in the rotation and go back transfer or reassignment. This right only applies to the skipped person when it does not cause overtime or premium pay. Shift Assignments. There Upon the execution of this agreement, Sergeants and Lieutenants assigned to patrol shall bid for their assignment for a six-month period commencing on or about July 1, 2014. Thereafter, at the beginning of each fiscal year, the Chief of Police shall make shift assignments for Lieutenants and Sergeants assigned to patrol. Shift assignment durations will be three (3) categories for two separate six-month periods during the fiscal year: on or about January 1st through June 30th and on or about July 1st through December 31st. During the shift selection period each supervisor will bid their assignments for both six-month periods. The shift schedule shall be posted no later than December 1st to be effective on or about January 1st and on or about July 1st. Shift assignments shall be based upon the employee’s seniority within his/her rank, his/her preference and the need to balance shift assignments on the basis of shifts: AMexperience and expertise. After the initial shift assignments have been made, PM the Chief of Police may adjust manpower as needed. If it is determined that manpower is needed on a given shift and/or days off group, the Chief will determine which shift and/or days off group the replacement manpower will be assigned from. The replacement manpower will be chosen from the selected shift and/or days off group based upon the employee’s seniority within rank, their preference, and Nightthe need to balance assignments on the basis of experience and expertise. IfThe need to make manpower assignments will not re-open the shift bidding process. When a vacancy occurs within the Field Operations Division, due an employee currently assigned to the Field Operations Division or being transferred into this division may submit to the Chief of Police a written request to transfer to the vacancy commensurate with their rank. The Chief of Police shall consider the employee’s seniority within rank, their preference, and the need to balance the assignments on the basis of experience and expertise in determining whether or not to grant the request. For up to one (1) week after the draft schedule is posted, Employees may sign up for any additional shifts/hours, and if doing so, will be awarded those additional shifts/hours based on rotational seniority starting with the most senior. To incentivize Employees to sign up for additional shifts/hours, any Employee who signs up and works additional shifts/hours will move to the bottom of the rotational list used to assign mandatory shifts/hours. In contrast, any Employee who calls out on an assigned mandatory shift/hours will move to the top of the rotational list (in addition to any other applicable attendance violation). In the event additional shifts/hours are available for a continuous six (6) month period due to either
(1) an Employee out on a leave of absence, or (2) a vacancy, Article 26, Posting and Filling of Vacancies applies to shift/hours assignments after six (6) continuous months instead of this Articleprevents such notice.

Shift Assignments. There will Eligible Employees as specified below shall be three (3) categories of shifts: AM, PM and Night. If, due assigned to an emergency or operational circumstances, it becomes necessary to change a unit member’s scheduled days of work or shift assignment temporarily, and if no regular bargaining unit member volunteers for the shift change, the Hospital will use a shift rotation procedure that would be equitably applied to all qualified staff beginning with the least senior qualified Employee. However, if the assignment would result in overtime or other premium pay, the Hospital may move to the next qualified Employee in the rotation and go back to the skipped person when it does not cause overtime or premium pay. Absent circumstances where there are not qualified Employees, Employees in the top half of the seniority list will be excluded from this rotation. If, due to emergency or operational circumstances, it becomes necessary to change a unit member’s scheduled days of work or shift assignment permanently, and if no regular bargaining unit member volunteers for the shift change, the least senior regular unit member qualified to perform the available work will be assigned. Extra fixed shifts and hours will be offered to full-time and part-time Employees in accordance with the below procedures and restrictions set forth below.
(a) The shift-bidding procedure prior provided in this subsection applies only to per diem Lieutenants and Sergeants assigned to the Road Patrol, with the exception of Sergeants and Lieutenants assigned to work pursuant to a township contract, and the Sergeants assigned to the Corrections Division. All other Employees so long shall have their work hours or shift assignments assigned by the Employer.
(b) Eligible Employees shall bid for shift preferences within their Division or Unit in April of each year, at a time specified by the Employer, and such assignments shall be awarded on the basis of rank seniority, defined as it does not result the Employee’s length of continuous service in the Hospital incurring overtime particular rank with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. In the event that two or more Employees within the same division or unit have identical rank seniority, the bid order shall be determined by lot or other premium paymethod agreed to among the affected Employees. For up to These assignments shall continue until April of the following year, on specific date determined by the Employer. In April of each year, eligible Employees shall re-bid for preferred shift assignments for the following year, which new assignments shall commence within one (1) week after month of the draft schedule selection date, on a date specified by the Employer, for a period of one year.
(c) After the bidding process and the assignment of Employees to fixed shifts pursuant to subsection (b), the Employer may nevertheless reassign an Employee to another shift, with ten (10) days prior, written notice, based on operational needs, including but not limited to personnel shortages, vacancies, conflicts with supervision or co-workers, performance problems on the requested shift, or change in personal or family circumstances.
(d) Notwithstanding the shift assignment procedure of subsection (b), the Employer may assign a particular Employee to a different shift in order to comply with Ohio Minimum Jail Standards or other specific operational needs.
(e) If an Employee assigned to a shift is posted, Employees may sign up for any additional shifts/hoursinvoluntarily transferred or reassigned to a position or section on another shift, and if doing somore than three months remain before annual shift bidding, will be awarded those additional shifts/hours based the Employee may exercise his or her seniority to bump a less senior Employee on rotational seniority starting with the most senior. To incentivize Employees to sign up for additional shifts/hours, any shift on which the Employee who signs up and works additional shifts/hours will move was assigned prior to the bottom of the rotational list used to assign mandatory shifts/hours. In contrast, any Employee who calls out on an assigned mandatory shift/hours will move to the top of the rotational list (in addition to any other applicable attendance violation). In the event additional shifts/hours are available for a continuous six (6) month period due to either
