Shift Supervision. All shifts shall have at least one supervisory employee. Where none are scheduled, an employee shall be selected pursuant to Article 27.4. Supervisory for the purpose of this clause includes leadhands and excluded supervisors.
Shift Supervision. There shall be shift supervision on duty at all times. Compensation shall be one hour of overtime when assigned to act as Shift Supervisor for four (4) or more hours of the employee’s shift, consistent with Section 7.
Shift Supervision a. A Clark R&M shift supervisor shall have primary responsibility for the following related to the Heavy Oil Processing Facility: (i) shift process coordination, (ii) operation and maintenance, (iii) unit coordination of products and feedstocks and (iv) initial response for incidents. Such position shall be staffed continuously, during off-hours and weekends. b. Three Clark R&M process operating supervisors shall supervise all unit operators at the Heavy Oil Processing Facility to accomplish unit and Refinery objectives. Such individuals shall assure that each unit is operated in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient manner and shall monitor day to day operations, coordinate with planning and scheduling groups, set maintenance priorities, and manage unit operating personnel.

Whenever practicable, while still preserving the working efficiency of the department, there shall be assigned at all times to each of the three shifts, at least one Sergeant other than the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief, Captain and/or Lieutenant, which Sergeant shall be in charge of said shift in the absence of the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief, Captain and/or Lieutenant. Shift Supervision will not apply to the Mechanical Branch. Trade Leadhands will be included with Journeymen on a regular shift rotation. However, Leadhands will be required to supervise when on shift work. Work schedules and priorities will be established by the immediate of-the-floor supervisor prior to the daily shift. If a Leadhand is not scheduled on any shift, one (1) employee will be designated on the basis of merit and without substitution pay to make routine decisions which may arise. The parties signatory to this letter agree that the matter of supervision for the Prince ▇▇▇▇▇▇ mechanical crew will be reviewed annually.
