Shift Work - Rates and Allowances. (a) For ordinary hours of shift work, shift workers shall be paid the following extra percentages of the rates prescribed for their respective classifications: (i) Permanent Afternoon Shift 17.5% (ii) Permanent Night Shift: 30.0% (b) Alternate Night/Afternoon Shift: (i) When on afternoon shift 17.5% (ii) When on night shift 30.0% (c) Shifts which rotate with a Day Shift: (i) When an afternoon shift 17.5% (ii) When on night shift 30.0% Note - Once an employee has accepted a permanent position on shift work, transfer will only be possible if there is a vacancy on either day shift or 12 hour shift work.
