Signal Retiming for Safety. The Traffic Operations office is responsible for the implementation of the FL-SHSP. The district believes that signal retiming process, due to its potential for enhancing traffic safety and improving traffic flow, is instrumental in addressing the emphasis areas of the FL-SHSP, specifically intersection crashes. The primary objective of signal retiming is to improve the safety and mobility of the street system by processing traffic through intersections safely and efficiently. A traffic signal that is properly designed and timed can be expected to reduce the frequency and severity of certain crash types. As part of this assignment, the consultant shall complete the following five steps consistent with the procedures and guidelines outlined in the FDOT Traffic Engineering Manual, MUTCD, FHWA Traffic Signal Timing Manual, and ITE Traffic Signal Timing Manual. Although these steps indicate the typical signal timing process, the consultant shall develop signal timing plans that are consistent with the policies, procedures and preferences of the respective signal maintaining agencies.   • Quality of Service Contractor shall perform its services with care, skill, and diligence, in accordance with the applicable professional standards currently recognized by such profession, and shall be responsible for the professional quality, technical accuracy, completeness, and coordination of all reports, designs, drawings, plans, information, specifications, and/or other items and services furnished under this Agreement. Contractor shall, without additional compensation, correct or revise any errors or deficiencies immediately upon discovery in its reports, drawings, specifications, designs, and/or other related items or services.

  • Switching System Hierarchy and Trunking Requirements For purposes of routing ECI traffic to Verizon, the subtending arrangements between Verizon Tandem Switches and Verizon End Office Switches shall be the same as the Tandem/End Office subtending arrangements Verizon maintains for the routing of its own or other carriers’ traffic (i.e., traffic will be routed to the appropriate Verizon Tandem subtended by the terminating End Office serving the Verizon Customer). For purposes of routing Verizon traffic to ECI, the subtending arrangements between ECI Tandem Switches and ECI End Office Switches shall be the same as the Tandem/End Office subtending arrangements that ECI maintains for the routing of its own or other carriers’ traffic.

  • Rectification of Safety Hazard (a) Where, because of the existence of a safety hazard, a site has been stopped for a defined period of time and Employees sent off site by agreement between Site Managers and any combination of Union Official/s, Health and Safety Committee, those people who remain on site to do rectification work will be paid at the rate of double time for all such work. (b) This would not be applicable on normal de watering (see clause 32.6 hereof) or normal housekeeping work or where a section of the site has been declared unsafe and normal rectification occurs whilst the remainder of the site carries on working. It is agreed that any ‘housekeeping’ work performed on Projects is to be paid at single time rate.
