SITE FUNCTION CLOSURE. 44.1. Sometimes we may need to close a site function and make the roles of all employees at that site redundant. 44.2. If we need to do this, we will tell the employees working in the site function and the union entitled to represent those employees about the redundancies, the reasons for them, who is likely to be affected and when the Placement Period is likely to commence. SITE FUNCTION CLOSURE. 41.1 In this clause a “site function” is a body of work which is readily identified and treated by Telstra as a substantial, distinct and discrete activity within a discrete geographical location. 41.2 Where Telstra has decided to close a site function and retrench all Employees at that site function, it will provide the Employees and appropriate office of the union entitled to represent the Employees at least six weeks' notification of the site function being closed. The notification will include information about: (a) the proposed retrenchment/s and the reasons for it/them; (b) the number and categories of Employees likely to be affected; and (c) the time/s when, or the period/s over which the proposed retrenchment/s will be effected. 41.3 An Employee advised of retrenchment under clause 41.2 will have the opportunity to: (a) obtain personal assistance from ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’s Employee Assistance Program; (b) obtain an estimate of redundancy entitlements and superannuation benefits; (c) consider redeployment and other employment opportunities; and (d) confer with their union or other appropriate representative. 41.4 Employees will be retrenched at the date of the closure of the site function (or earlier by agreement between Telstra and the Employee), and will be paid upon retrenchment: (a) the payments outlined in clause 45; and (b) a $4500 gross payment to conduct their own job search program; and (c) payment in lieu of notice (four weeks and an additional week if required under the Fair Work Act 2009).

  • Contract Closure Contracting Officer shall give appropriate written notice to Purchaser when Purchaser has complied with the terms of this contract. Purchaser shall be paid refunds due from Timber Sale Account un- der B4.24 and excess cooperative deposits under B4.218.

  • Emergency Closure Where there is a temporary closure as a result of an immediate emergency or a planned temporary closure due to renovations, repairs, or moves, the Employer will: a) First offer to the affected employees the choice of taking either a vacation day or an unpaid leave of absence with no loss of seniority or benefits; thereafter, at the Employer's discretion, one of the following: b) Reassign staff to another location; c) Reschedule the lost hours within two (2) pay periods; or d) Decide not to do either (b) or (c), in which case employees shall still be paid for their regularly scheduled hours which they did not work as a result of the temporary layoff.

  • PLANT CLOSURE 29.01 In the event the Company closes the plant at the Cambridge location as a result of the loss of business or a discontinuation of all operations, severance pay will be calculated at one (1) week’s regular pay per year of service. The severance payment, so calculated, is inclusive of any severance payment required by the Ontario Employment Standards Act (Revised 2000). This agreement is not applicable to a sale of the business or if the closure is occasioned by a labour dispute.

  • Lane closure (i) The Contractor shall not close any lane of the Project Highway for undertaking maintenance works except with the prior written approval of the Authority’s Engineer. Such approval shall be sought by the Contractor through a written request to be made at least 10 (ten) days before the proposed closure of lane and shall be accompanied by particulars thereof. Within 5 (five) business days of receiving such request, the Authority’s Engineer shall grant permission with such modifications as it may deem necessary and a copy of such permission shall be sent to the Authority. (ii) Upon receiving the permission pursuant to Clause 14.5 (i), the Contractor shall be entitled to close the designated lane for the period specified therein, and for all lane closures extending a continuous period of 48 (forty-eight) hours, the Contractor shall, in the event of any delay in re-opening such lane, for every stretch of 250 (two hundred and fifty) metres, or part thereof, pay Damages to the Authority calculated at the rate of 0.1% (zero point one per cent) of the monthly maintenance payment for each day of delay until the lane has been re-opened for traffic. In the event of any delay in re-opening such lanes or in the event of emergency decommissioning and closure to traffic of the whole or any part of the Project Highway due to failure of the Contractor, the Contractor shall pay damages to the Authority at double the above rate, without prejudice the rights of the Authority under this Agreement including Termination thereof.

  • Site Safety Supervisor 62.1 On every job site, where the Employer is the principal contractor it shall appoint a management representative responsible for safety (Site Safety Supervisor). The Employer will ensure the Site Safety Supervisor has the necessary authority to ensure that all safety laws, procedures or Codes of Practice are observed, and that the following Safety Agreement is applied. 62.2 The Employer when appointing the person appointed as the Site Safety Supervisor must ensure that person has and maintainsthe appropriate experience and knowledge of the safety requirements of the work being performed. Other duties may be assigned by the Employer to a Site Safety Supervisor, provided that such duties shall not prevent him/her from exercising their duties as a Site Safety Supervisor.
