Sixth Consecutive Day Clause Samples

The "Sixth Consecutive Day" clause defines rules or restrictions related to an employee working six days in a row without a break. Typically, this clause sets out whether employees are entitled to overtime pay, mandatory rest periods, or other protections if they are scheduled to work six consecutive days. For example, it may require that employees receive additional compensation or a guaranteed day off after such a period. The core function of this clause is to protect employee well-being and ensure compliance with labor laws by preventing excessive consecutive workdays without adequate rest.
Sixth Consecutive Day. Nurses who work five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days shall be paid at the overtime rate for all authorized hours worked on the sixth (6th) consecutive day, and any additional consecutive days worked thereafter. Nurses who request to work additional consecutive days in excess of five (5) shall be exempt from this provision.
Sixth Consecutive Day. Nurses who are scheduled and/or work six (6) days in a row will be paid one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular rate of pay starting with the sixth day and continuing until that nurse has had a scheduled day off. This section shall not apply to full-time or part-time nurses who voluntarily agree to be scheduled and/or work in such manner. If a nurse on callback (Section 9.3) works eight (8) hours within a twenty-four (24) hour period (excluding the minimum guaranteed callback hours paid but not worked), this will constitute a day, to be considered for the sixth consecutive day provision.
Sixth Consecutive Day. A. Employees who work on a sixth consecutive day shall receive pay of one and one half times their Standard Base Wage Rate including shift differential and schedule premium for all hours worked.
