Snag Creation Clause Samples

The Snag Creation clause defines the process by which defects, issues, or incomplete work—commonly referred to as "snags"—are formally identified during a project, typically in construction or fit-out contracts. This clause outlines who is responsible for recording snags, the method for documenting them (such as through a snag list or inspection report), and the timeframe within which they must be reported. Its core practical function is to ensure that all outstanding items are clearly identified and communicated, enabling timely rectification and helping to ensure the project meets the agreed standards before final completion.
