The Specialized Skill clause defines the requirement for a party to possess or provide particular expertise or technical abilities relevant to the contract. This clause typically applies when a project or service demands knowledge or skills beyond general competence, such as advanced IT programming, engineering, or legal expertise. By specifying these requirements, the clause ensures that only qualified individuals or entities perform the work, thereby reducing the risk of substandard results and clarifying expectations for both parties.

SPECIALIZED SKILL. Each certificated support person demonstrates in his/her performance a competent level of skill and knowledge in designing and conducting specialized programs of prevention, instruction, remediation and evaluation. Performance Indicators: Design and conduct a program providing specific and unique services within the individual’s specific discipline; Demonstrate ability to synthesize and integrate testing and non-testing data concerning the student: to help students integrate and assimilate data; to help others involved with the student interpret and use data appropriately and accurately; to hep other specialists by providing case study materials; Administer assessment procedures or to organize and prepare those who will administer assessment procedures; Demonstrate ability to assist teachers and administrators integrate specialized information into the regular curricular program; Develop goals and objectives consistent with district-level goals and objectives which will facilitate the implementation of program and services.   • Degree A recognised degree from a higher education institution, often completed in three or four years, and sometimes combined with a one year diploma.

  • SPECIALIZED JOB CLASSES Where there is a particular specialized job class in which the pay rate is below the local market value assessment of that job class, the parties may use existing means under the collective agreement to adjust compensation for that job class.

  • Bachelor’s Degree A four-year baccalaureate degree is recommended; however, applicants who complete a minimum of 90 semester or 135 quarter units of undergraduate study will qualify for admission. To be eligible to apply, the applicant must be on track to complete the required units through the summer term that precedes fall matriculation.
