Specific ETO Utilization Rules. Time off with pay is provided so nurses 2 may enjoy a period of rest and relaxation and be better prepared to meet the physical 3 and emotional demands of patient care. For this reason nurses are encouraged to 4 utilize fully ETO on a scheduled basis as outlined above. In addition, other rules apply, 5 as follows: 6 A. Maximum Accrual and Cash Oout. Earned time off may not be 7 accrued in excess of a nurse's ETO benefit amount for a one and 8 one half (1 ½)one and one half (1-½) year period. If a nurse 9 requests ETO in a timely manner and it is not granted, the non- 11 hours (Code 2) and one hundred twenty (120) hours (Code 1) of 12 ETO may be cashed out each year at the RN's option per Hospital 13 policy.

If a nurse 9 requests ETO ▇▇▇ in a timely 2 manner and it is not granted, the non- 11 non-accrual provision of this 3 paragraph will not apply. Up to sixty (60) hours (Code 2) and one 4 hundred twenty (120) hours (Code 1) of 12 ETO may be cashed out 5 each year at the RN's option per Hospital 13 policy.
