Strikes and Interference. The Union and its officers and agents agree that they shall not authorize or conduct a strike against the University because the grievance and arbitration procedure herein provides an orderly procedure for settlement of disputes concerning the application of the terms of this Agreement and because it is not lawful for public employees to do so. The Union and its officers and agents further agree that they shall not authorize, conduct or participate in sit-downs, slow-downs, stoppages of work, or in any acts of a similar nature which interfere with the orderly operation of the University. They also agree that they will not otherwise permit the existence of or continuance of any of the above acts. In the event of a violation of the provision, the Union will take affirmative action to terminate and to remedy such violation.
