Syllabi. Adjunct professors shall submit to the ▇▇▇▇ no later than one week prior to the first scheduled day of classes, two (2) copies of written course syllabi for each course taught and two (2) copies of the written final exam for each course taught. A summary of the course content and the basis for grading must be included in the course syllabus. The ▇▇▇▇ may ▇▇▇▇▇ exceptions to the above requirements.

Syllabi. It is the responsibility of the instructor to prepare and distribute to students a syllabus for each course. In addition to distributing a copy of the syllabus to each student enrolled in the course on or around the first day of class, each faculty member shall provide his/her ▇▇▇▇ a copy of each syllabus. The syllabus will be consistent with the University’s mission and purpose (as defined in Section 1.1 of this Handbook and will not be in violation of specific stipulations of the Catalog and/or the Faculty Handbook. It shall state the purpose and/or objectives of the course, the catalog description, and the prerequisites of the course, what material the student is responsible for studying, what assignments are required and on what dates they will be due, the dates of examinations, the grading system which will be employed, the penalties which will be assessed for absences and/or for late or missing work, and the University statement regarding disabilities. The instructor may make revisions in his/her course syllabi for legitimate pedagogical reasons; however, revisions shall not be so extensive that the course fails to meet the requirements of the course description listed in the catalog, revisions shall be clearly communicated to students in writing and every effort shall be made to assure that each student receives a copy, and revisions relative to course requirements shall not work a hardship on students.

Syllabi. All School of Liberal Arts faculty members are required to create and distribute a detailed syllabus and upload it on the Learning Management System (aka Canvas). Syllabi must reflect the departmentally approved curriculum and must include all items outlined in the template approved by the School of Liberal Arts, which includes information about campus policies and support service. All syllabi given to R110 students should contain and explain assignments, assignment due dates, plagiarism policy, grading scale, attendance policy, and all policies regarding the makeup of speech assignments and quizzes/tests. Any and all changes to syllabi should be made to R110 students in a reasonably timely fashion. Syllabi. The new EP academic curriculum comprises five separate syllabi. It includes detailed user material, mandatory lectures and workshops on innovation (including responsible innovation) for all PhD candidates participating in HBP-related research, as well as similar training for more senior researchers. Formal examinations and a multi-university certification process are planned. Enrolment of new HBP Students will be based on online testing of performance on the HBP ICT Platforms. Teaching will be based on innovative forms of online education, in which webinars are complemented by face-to-face workshops. The syllabi are being developed and taught by senior scientists leading or working in HBP Subprojects. The commitment of the Syllabus leaders and associated teachers will be supported by a limited financial contribution from the EP budget. The syllabi will introduce young scientists to disciplines outside the speciality in which they have been trained, prepare them to use the HBP ICT platforms and stimulate their entrepreneurial skills. By helping them acquire new competencies and skills, they will be better placed to turn Flagship results into useful innovations. Syllabus teaching materials will be made available via an EP website, accessible through the Collaboratory, that will direct students towards further reading material.

Syllabi. All courses are required to have a syllabus. The syllabus should be available to registered students, as well as upon request from the respective academic ▇▇▇▇'▇ Office, no later than the day of the first class meeting. The Faculty of each School and HSS will determine the content of course syllabi, provided such syllabi comply with the standard elements and distribution requirements established by the ▇▇▇▇. Policies concerning standard elements and distribution of syllabi will incorporate input from the Faculty, and standard ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Union academic policies will be limited to an incorporation by reference and a link to where such policies can be seen in their entirety.

Syllabi. The file shall include representative syllabi from courses taught during the period under review. Syllabi shall conform to the CSUSM Course Syllabus Policy.
