TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT TO A HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. When an employee is temporarily assigned to a higher skilled position, the employee will be placed on the salary schedule at the same step of the position currently held. If currently the employee is at a higher step than the higher skilled position has, the employee will be placed on the top step.
