Termination, Cancellation and Expiration Clause Samples

The 'Termination, Cancellation and Expiration' clause defines the conditions and procedures under which a contract may be ended before its natural completion, either by mutual agreement, for cause, or due to the passage of time. It typically outlines the required notice periods, any obligations that survive termination, and the consequences for each party, such as final payments or return of materials. This clause ensures both parties understand their rights and responsibilities if the agreement ends early or concludes as scheduled, thereby reducing uncertainty and potential disputes.
