THE SERVICES 2 COMMENCEMENT AND DURATION. 2.1 The Agreement Period will commence on the Agreement Date and terminate or expire on the earlier of: 2.1.1 the Expiry Date; or 2.1.2 the Termination Date.
THE SERVICES 2 COMMENCEMENT AND DURATION. 2.1 The Contract Period will commence on the Agreement Date and terminate or expire on the earlier of: 2.1.1 the Expiry Date; or 2.1.2 the Termination Date. 2.2 The Contractor must not recruit new Learners onto any Learning Programme after the Expiry Date (including any revised Expiry Date to reflect an extended Contract Period under Clause 2.5 and in respect of which the definition of Expiry Date has been updated in accordance with Clause 2.6) and in any event all Learners must complete their Learning Programme by the relevant Longstop Date in accordance with Clause 2.3. The Department will not be liable to make payments in respect of any Learners recruited in breach of this Clause 2.2. 2.3 In order to give Learners recruited prior to the relevant Expiry Date an opportunity to complete their Learning Programmes, the Department may extend the Contract Period for the relevant period necessary to achieve this, subject to a Longstop Date. In the case of the original Expiry Date the Longstop Date will be the 12 month anniversary of the date when the last Learner was recruited before the original Expiry Date or 31 July 2023, whichever is the earlier. Where the Contract Period has been extended in accordance with Clause 2.5 and the Expiry Date has been updated in accordance with Clause 2.5, the Longstop Date will be the 12 month anniversary of the relevant revised Expiry Date. 2.4 During any extension to the Contract Period under Clause 2.3 the Contractor must not recruit new Learners after the relevant Expiry Date and the Department will not be liable to make any payments in relation to any Learners recruited after the relevant Expiry Date or be liable to make any further payments at all after the relevant Longstop Date. For the avoidance of doubt an extension under Clause 2.3 will not have the effect of updating the definition of Expiry Date. 2.5 Without prejudice to Clause 2.3 the Department may, by giving written notice to the Contractor, extend the Contract in such period or periods and on as many occasions as the Department deems appropriate up to an overall total of one (1) year from the original Expiry Date, subject to affordability and Government skills priorities.   • Commencement of Work Engineer shall not commence any field work under this Contract until he/she/it has obtained all required insurance and such insurance has been approved by County. As further set out below, Engineer shall not allow any subcontractor/subconsultant(s) to commence work to be performed in connection with this Contract until all required insurance has been obtained and approved and such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Approval of the insurance by County shall not relieve or decrease the liability of Engineer hereunder.
