Common use of Towers Allowance Clause in Contracts

Towers Allowance. An employee working on a chimney stack, spire, tower, radio or television mast or tower, air shaft, cooling tower, water tower or silo, where the construction exceeds fifteen metres in height will be paid for all work above fifteen metres. An additional applicable rate as follows per hour with the following applicable rate per hour additional for work above each further fifteen metres. Any similarly constructed building not covered by the Multi-storey allowance clause which exceeds 15 metres in height may be covered by this clause or by the Multi-storey allowance clause by agreement or where no agreement is reached by reference to the dispute resolution procedure in clause 2.1.
