Training & Development. 31.01 The parties recognise the advantages deriving from the training offered by the University to the employees in view of improving their knowledge and skills, and acquiring new ones. All employees who wish to follow training sessions, offered by the University, which are related to their duties, must make a request forwarded to the immediate supervisor. The University will not refuse such a request without valid reason. The employee who follows these sessions during regular work hours does not suffer any loss of salary. 31.02 a) The University recognizes that knowledge of French and English is desirable and agrees to assist employees in receiving adequate instruction.
Training & Development. (a) The parties agree to facilitate educational opportunities, which may include literacy training and career path counselling/planning, to the extent that funding is available. (b) The Employer shall make available to the employees covered by this Agreement any educational leave policy, which applies to any of its employees.
Training & Development. The Contractor shall provide personnel with Oracle applications DBA and EBS experience to develop and deploy training courseware and materials to GCSS-MC training locations. The GCSS-MC/LCM Increment 1 Enterprise Training encompasses training materials housed at the Marine Corps TECOM FLCs, the Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Materiel Readiness Centers (MRTC), and the DISA Global Content Delivery System (GCDS). The FLC training materials consist of supply, maintenance, and finance military occupational specialty entry-level and career-level courseware. The MRTC training materials support MEF supply, maintenance, and financial supply and maintenance sustainment training activities. Currently, the MTS is the designated GCSS-MC/LCM Increment 1 training device. In the event the MTS is replaced with a new training device, the Contractor shall become familiar with the new GCSS-MC/LCM training device. The Contractor shall follow all CM and release management requirements for training material and systems. This includes managing training material items as configuration items, ensuring creation of end-user interim training materials, incorporation into courseware, and retirement of outdated items. The Contractor shall maintain the versioning, consistency, and accuracy of training courseware across the training environments, including MarineNet, DISA GCDS, and the MTS. Training & Development. 15:01 It is the intent of the Employer to continue existing practices of encouraging Bargaining Unit employees to participate in Training and Development programs and information in order to upgrade and refresh their skills. The Employer, will provide all Bargaining Unit members training in accordance with Hostel Standards. This does not limit other training that may be desirous. 15:02 Where compulsory training sessions are made available to employees, time spent by employees in attendance shall be paid for at the employee’s normal rate of pay on a straight time or overtime basis, as may be the case. 15:03 It is understood that where the length of a training session is equivalent to the employee’s normal working day, such training will be considered her work day. 15:04 Where an employee and their supervisor identify additional training or development needs, which may be met by attendance at a conference, workshop, seminar or through part time study at an accredited college, university or graduate school outside of the Employer’s own training program and the Employer may contribute to cost of such additional training where it is deemed to be beneficial to both the employee and the Employer’s operations. Requests shall take into account the individual’s personal development goals and the training budget allocated for the current fiscal year. Training allowance can take a number of forms: (i) the Employer may pay for the training and the employee attends on her own time; (ii) the Employer may maintain wages and benefits for the employee for any time lost from regularly scheduled work and the employee will be responsible for any other costs associated with the training; (iii) the Employer and the employee may share the costs of the training. 15:05 The Employer reserves the right to deduct the amount paid for the training (or agreed to options) should the employee not attend such training and the employee is unable to provide a satisfactory reason to the Employer for not attending. Such deduction shall be to a maximum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per pay, until the total amount has been reimbursed to the Employer.
Training & Development. 10.1 Objectives of the training program - “Training shall be of a nature so as to”: 🟋 improve efficiency and flexibility of working arrangements through training, which focuses on competency-based tasks associated with a broad range of activities. 🟋 Enable the Hotel to operate with the technology, quality standards and competencies that will ensure its competitiveness in the Industry. 🟋 provide for the development and assessment of competency profiles setting out the skills and performance standards required in each classification. 🟋 provide employees with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to perform their tasks. 🟋 assist employees in upgrading their skills or developing a new range of skills in another stream. 🟋 ensure safe work practices The facilitation of training shall maximise portability and flexibility of skills through the certification and accreditation of programs in accordance with recognised National Industry standards. 10.2 Training programs classifications and rate of pay: Training programs are classified into the following: 🟋 Compulsory training consists of those training programs that management deem necessary for an employee to undertake in the performance of their responsibilities. 🟋 Development training, such as training undertaken at The Quality Training Company and Acadamie Accor or onsite training, which would be regarded of benefit to an employee's current classification stream, this training is to be paid at the employee’s normal rate of pay. 🟋 Cross Training consists of those training programs undertaken at employee’s initiative and provide additional skills not related to the current job classification.
Training & Development. Access to training material on relevant issues like accounts, taxation for start-ups, understanding intellectual property, etc. HPGIF may also organize training events from time to time in order to help entrepreneurs tackle the challenges of starting-up and for the capacity development of the Start-Up.
Training & Development. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall provide Align-Rite with general training and development skills in accordance with the description and costs as set forth in Exhibits "B" and "C".
