The "Types of Programs" clause defines and categorizes the various programs that are covered or governed by the agreement. By clearly specifying which programs are included, this clause ensures both parties understand the agreement’s coverage and helps prevent disputes over whether a particular program is subject to the contract’s terms.
Types of Programs. Five general types of Programs may be proposed: Exploration, Development, Construction, Operating and Reclamation Programs.

(1) Child care and elder care referral services;
(2) Seminars, workshops, and exhibitions;
(3) Periodic newsletters and brochures;
(4) Family resource centers;
(5) Consultants to assist employees with dependent care problems; and
(6) DOL cooperation with other agencies regarding Dependent Care Programs, including Infant and Child Care Centers.
B. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of Dependent Care Programs. New employees should be informed about the availability of Dependent Care Programs during orientation.

(a) A "Maintenance Program" shall be a program designed to maintain the Joint Property until such time as an Exploration Program, Development Program or Mining Program may be proposed and adopted.

(b) A "Development Program" shall be a Program that may entail Development work, in-depth drilling, test mining, a Feasibility Study, and other such work expended toward developing deposits of Products on the Properties, but does not encompass, by itself, construction, operation, maintenance, and attendant activities designed to bring a Mine on any of the Properties into production in reasonable commercial quantities.

B. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of dependent care programs. New employees should be informed about the availability of referral services for dependent care programs during orientation.
C. The Agency and the Union will keep each other advised of any status changes regarding dependent care referral services. The Union will be afforded the opportunity to participate in task groups or committees involved in developing and formulating such programs.
