UNION ACTIVITIES / FUNCTIONS / BUSINESS. 7.1 Notice and Authorization of Union Representatives: The Union agrees to provide an updated list to elected officials, department heads and Human Resources of who is authorized to represent the Union in any matters outlined in this article. An "authorized representative" is one who is appointed or elected by their Local Union. Prior supervisor approval shall be obtained whenever possible for absences from the workplace. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Absences from the workplace of 15 minutes or more for Union activities/functions shall be documented by use of a leave slip.
