The UNION SERVICE clause defines the obligations and procedures related to the use of union labor or services in the performance of a contract. UNION SERVICE. (a) The Company shall allow time off work without pay for any employee who is serving on a Union Committee for purposes of discussions with the Company, or serving as a Union delegate to any conference or function, provided all requests for time off are reasonable and do not interfere with the proper operation of the business.
(b) No employee who acts within the scope of this sub-section shall lose his job or be discriminated against for so acting.

12.04 The Employer shall allow time off work without pay for any employee who is serving as a Union representative in bargaining or serving as a Union delegate to any conference or function, provided all requests for time off are reasonable, are made at least seven (7) days prior to the required time off, and do not interfere with the proper operation of the Employer’s business.
12.05 A representative of the Union who provides advance notice of at least one (1) hour to the Employer shall be provided access to the Employer’s lunch room to meet with the employees during the employees’ scheduled break from work.
UNION SERVICE. The Business Agent and President shall receive a two dollar ($2.00) per hour increase to their regular Hourly Pay Rate. The Safety Officer shall receive a one dollar ($1.00) per hour increase to their regular Hourly Pay Rate upon successful completion of the OSHA safety certification. The OSHA safety certification shall consist of a forty (40) hour OSHA training course. Training expenses in achieving the OSHA safety certification shall be approved in advance and paid by the Company. The Hourly Pay Rate increase shall remain in effect as long as they hold the position and the OSHA safety certification is maintained.
