VISITS TO STORES. It is the general policy of the Union for its representatives not to visit the stores during the busy afternoon hours, Saturdays, or days preceding holidays. However, upon the receipt of reported violations, the Union representative shall have the privilege of visiting such store for the purpose of investigating such violations. The Union further agrees that it will arrange with the store manager for such investigation, and that any meetings between employees and Union representatives shall be limited to one (1) employee at a time and shall be conducted with the least possible interference with store operations. Such meetings shall be held on the premises in a place designated by the store manager. Further, the Union representative and employees shall not engage in Union activities during working hours. In instances where employees are working during hours that the stores are closed to the public, Union representatives shall be admitted to the premises if they are identified or recognized by the employees on duty.

VISITS TO STORES. It is agreed by both parties hereto that the busi ness representatives of the Union shall have the right and shall be allowed by the Employer to visit any and all stores and shall have free access to the employees during such visits for the purpose of making inquiries from the employees relative to information concerning working conditions, complaints of members of the Union, and other matters pertaining to the enforcement of this Agreement, provided said investigation may be accom plished without interfering with the duties of the em ployees.

Duly authorized representatives of the Union after notifying the Store Manager or personnel in charge of operations during his/her absence, shall be entitled to visit the store during hours when the store is open for the purpose of observing working conditions, review the posted hours of work scheduled and time cards, interviewing members and unsigned employees, and to ensure that the terms of the Collective Agreement are being observed. Such interviews may be held in a place designated by the Store Manager. Any alleged discrepancies shall be presented to the Co- operative in accordance with Article 16 of this Agreement.

It is agreed by both parties hereto that any author ized representative of the Union shall have the right and shall be allowed by the Employer to visit any and all stores for the purpose of observing working condi tions, making inquiries from employees concerning working conditions, receiving complaints of members of the Union and/or noting any violations of this Agreement. The Union agrees that there will be no unnecessary visits or interferences with the proper performance of the work of employees covered by this Agreement.

Duly authorized representatives of the Union shall be entitled to visit the store during working hours after notifying the Store Manager or person in charge of operations during their absence. The purpose of the visit is to observe working conditions, interview members, and discuss Union business. Another purpose that visits have is to ensure that the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement are being complied with. If the visit will occur during a time when the store is not open to the public and Management is not normally present, the Union Representative will notify the Store Manager or the Assistant Manager during their working hours in advance of the visit. The parties recognize that, in exceptional circumstances where advance notice is not possible, the Union Representative will notify the person in charge of the store upon arrival. An interview of an employee by the Union Representative shall minimally interfere with the employee’s work and be held, whenever possible, during the lunch period. However, if it is not practical to interview during the lunch period, then such interview shall:
