Common use of Voluntary Shift Exchange Clause in Contracts

Voluntary Shift Exchange. When operational requirements permit, employees may exchange shifts with other employees with the same status, in the same job classification providing: There is prior authorization by the supervisor or designate; There shall be no increased cost to the Employer Requests for exchanges shall be made in writing with a minimum of four (4) business days’ notice, barring exceptional circumstances. Once the Employer has authorized the exchange of shifts there shall be no grievances filed as a result of an authorized and agreed-to shift exchange.
