Wages and Allowances. (i) The minimum hourly wage rates are contained in Table 1 of Part B of the Agreement. Wage increases will be applied based on the detail in Table 1. (ii) Allowances are specified in Table 2 of Part B of the Agreement. Allowance increases will be applied based on the detail in Table 2. (iii) Employees who receive a higher hourly rate of pay or allowance than those specified in Tables 1 and 2 of this Agreement will have those rates absorbed until they reflect the rates contained in this Agreement. (iv) An Enrolled Nurse with Notation who upgrades to Enrolled Nurse will be classified and paid as an Enrolled Nurse from the commencement of the first full pay period following their registration with the Board as such. The employee will move to the next pay point for an Enrolled Nurse that results in an increase in their hourly rate and the Enrolled Nurse will progress to the next pay point following each year of service. (v) An Enrolled Nurse, other than an Enrolled Nurse with Notation, who holds an additional Advanced Certificate qualification or an additional Advanced Diploma qualification will be paid based on the wage schedule specified for Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Certificate or Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma respectively subject to the following conditions: (a) Payment at this classification is only payable where the Advanced Certificate or Advanced Diploma qualification is deemed by the employer to be directly relevant to the competency and skills used by the Enrolled Nurse in the duties of their position in the Hospital; (b) Classification at either the Additional Advanced Certificate or Additional Advanced Diploma classifications will be the same irrespective of whether the Enrolled Nurse holds one or more directly relevant Certificates or Diplomas; (c) The employee claiming a classification under this subclause must provide evidence to the employer that they hold that qualification; (d) Provided the qualification is deemed relevant by the employer, classification under this clause will commence from the first full pay period to commence after the employee provides the necessary evidence to the employer; (e) For transitioning employees, who previously received a Continuing Education Allowance under the prior Enterprise Agreement for holding a relevant Advanced Diploma, these employees will be automatically transferred to the classification Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma from the first full pay period to commence on or after this Agreement commences as long as the advanced diploma is used and relevant to current scope and specialty; (f) The introduction in this Agreement of wage rates for Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma will not result in the reduction in the income of any Enrolled Nurse who previously received an allowance under Clause 13 of the previous Enterprise Agreement; (g) An Enrolled Nurse with Notation is not eligible to be classified at either Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Certificate or Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma. (vi) In relation to the salaries of Deputy Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing, "beds" means adjusted daily average of occupied beds; in relation to the salary of Subsidiary Hospital Director of Nursing, "beds" means the adjusted daily average of occupied beds in the subsidiary hospital. (vii) The wage increases specified above are inclusive of any wage increases; determination or award of the Fair Work Commission or any other authorised tribunal or commission made during the period of this Agreement. Any increases in the Award rates of pay shall be absorbed into the wage rates paid under this Agreement. Should the application of any increases awarded by the Fair Work Commission to the Nurses Award 2010 result in rates applicable to the employees that are greater than those applying in this Agreement, then the rates of pay the Nurses Award 2010 will be applied in lieu of the rates of pay in this Agreement.

(v) An Enrolled Nurse, other than an Enrolled Nurse with Notation, who holds an additional Advanced Certificate qualification or an additional Advanced Diploma qualification will be paid based on the wage schedule specified for Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Certificate or Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma respectively subject to the following conditions:
(a) Payment at this classification is only payable where the Advanced Certificate or Advanced Diploma qualification is deemed by the employer to be directly relevant to the competency and skills used by the Enrolled Nurse in the duties of their position in the Hospital;
(b) Classification at either the Additional Advanced Certificate or Additional Advanced Diploma classifications will be the same irrespective of whether the Enrolled Nurse holds one or more directly relevant Certificates or Diplomas;
(c) The employee claiming a classification under this subclause must provide evidence to the employer that they hold that qualification;
(d) Provided the qualification is deemed relevant by the employer, classification under this clause will commence from the first full pay period to commence after the employee provides the necessary evidence to the employer;
(e) For transitioning employees, who previously received a Continuing Education Allowance under the prior Enterprise Agreement for holding a relevant Advanced Diploma, these employees will be automatically transferred to the classification Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma from the first full pay period to commence on or after this Agreement commences as long as the advanced diploma is used and relevant to current scope and specialty;
(f) The introduction in this Agreement of wage rates for Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma will not result in the reduction in the income of annual vacation any Enrolled Nurse who previously received an allowance under Clause 13 of the previous Enterprise Agreement;
(g) An Enrolled Nurse with Notation is not eligible to be classified at either Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Certificate or Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma.
(vi) In relation to the salaries of Deputy Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing, "beds" means adjusted daily average of occupied beds; in relation to the salary of Subsidiary Hospital Director of Nursing, "beds" means the adjusted daily average of occupied beds in the subsidiary hospital.
(vii) The wage increases specified above are inclusive of any wage increases; determination or award of the Fair Work Commission or any other authorised tribunal or commission made cheques which may fall due during the period of their vacation. Employees who are required to use their vehicle for authorized business of the Employer shall be reimbursed at the following rates: Effective October May up to per year over per year Rate per per Effective June Ministry of Education Base Rate for Southern Ontario Mileage shall be calculated from the first work assignment and end at the last work assignment of each day. An employee who has commenced work prior to September and who has continuous service with the Board and is eligible for retirement under or upon death while in the employ of the Board under the same terms as would make such employee eligible for pension or disability allowance under shall be entitled to a retirement gratuity. The gratuity shall be paid at the rate of of salary per year of service up to fifteen (15) years, plus for each year of service thereafter, to a maximum total of of accumulated sick leave credits provided in Article of this Agreement. Any increases in An employee whose employment commences after September shall not be eligible for retirement gratuity. An Employee who is required to be on standby shall be paid for two (2) hours at the Award rates regular rate of pay for each weekend spent on standby and three (3) hours for each long weekend spent on standby. An Employee shall be absorbed into the wage rates paid under this Agreement. Should the application a shift premium of any increases awarded twenty-five (25) cents per hour for work performed by the Fair Work Commission Employee during the midnight shift. For purposes of calculating overtime pay or Sunday premium, shift premiums shall not be considered as part of an Employee's applicable hourly rate. (c) The employee claiming hereby made a classification under this subclause must provide evidence to the employer that they hold that qualification;

Any increases When a new classification is established, a temporary rate of pay for that classification will be established by the Board until a regular rate can be negotiated through the normal Collective Bargaining process. Such process will be initiated within thirty (30) calendar days of the Board assigning an employee to the new position. Should the 'negotiated' rate be higher then it will be paid retroactive to the employee's start date in the Award rates new position. If the duties of pay an existing job or classification are substantially changed, the Union shall be absorbed into consulted. Absence from employment not paid for by the Board and which is in excess of one continuous month shall not count as service to advance an employee through the wage rates for a classification. Pay days shall be every second Friday Each employee covered by this collective agreement shall provide to the Board the name of bank or trust company and the account number to which payment will be made by direct deposit. Effective January each employee covered by the Agreement will be paid under a shift premium of thirty cents for each hour worked on the afternoon and midnight shifts. An employee who is scheduled to work a split shift shall receive the shift premium for each hour worked on all such shifts. For the purpose of this Agreementclause a split shift is a shift where the regular daily hours of work are scheduled with a break of two (2) hours or more. Should Effective January a Lead Hand (Maintenance) shall be paid a responsibility allowance of forty-seven cents 47) per hour; A Custodian who is responsible for a school shall be paid a responsibility allowance of forty-two cents per hour. The allowance defined in will be paid to an employee who is assigned by the Board to provide direct supervision to a crew of three (3) or more students. Effective January where the services of a qualified engineer, with certificate, is required, such engineer shall be given an allowance of forty-eight cents per hour over and above the scheduled salary as a Custodian. The Board may, at its sole discretion, pay such allowance to custodial employees designated by the Board to maintain Centrifugal Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems. Effective January employees required to use their cars for Board business will be paid an allowance for all kilometres actually and necessarily travelled on Board business during paid working hours as in the Board’s current policy. If the employee is required to use car for heavy hauling then shall be paid an additional seven cents (0.07) per kilometre. than would normally drive going to and from home and normally assigned school. Notwithstanding employees who by choice work at more than one (1) location or who accept additional hours or overtime hours at another location, will not be eligible to receive the allowance. The employee who holds a current valid license to apply herbicides shall receive a lead hand allowance for hours spent in supervising the application of any increases awarded herbicides. An employee so qualified shall receive the premium if the employee is applying herbicides by but this does not entitle an employee holding such a license to the premium where the employee is applying herbicides under the supervision of a licensed person. The amount allowed to a custodian for attendance on heating plant and school checks on weekends and holidays when the school is not open for other reasons on those days, will be as follows: Effective January for schools up to square feet for schools of more than but less then square feet for schools of square feet or more The foregoing rates shall be deemed to include driving costs involved in checking one
(1) or two (2) schools. If a staff member is required to check three (3) or more schools, mileage shall be paid in accordance with Board Policy. The calculation of mileage will be from the home school to each of the schools checked by the Fair Work Commission most direct route, and return to the Nurses Award 2010 result home school by the most direct route. Employees required to use French in rates applicable to the employees that are greater than those applying in this Agreementcourse of their duties will, then the rates effective January receive an allowance of pay the Nurses Award 2010 will be applied in lieu of the rates of pay in this Agreementtwenty-eight cents per hour.

(b) An employee who is scheduled by management to work a split shift shall receive the same irrespective shift premium for each hour worked on all such shifts. For the purpose of whether this clause, a split shift is a shift where the Enrolled Nurse holds one regular daily hours of work are scheduled with a break of two (2) hours or more directly relevant Certificates or Diplomas;more.
(a) A Lead Hand (Maintenance) shall be paid a responsibility allowance as follows: effective September 1, 2008 - $0.69 per hour effective September 1, 2009 - $0.71 per hour effective September 1, 2010 - $0.73 per hour effective September 1, 2011 - $0.75 per hour.
(b) A Custodian who is himself/herself responsible for a school shall be paid a responsibility allowance as follows: effective September 1, 2008 - $0.64 per hour effective September 1, 2009 - $0.66 per hour effective September 1, 2010 - $0.68 per hour effective September 1, 2011 - $0.70 per hour.
(c) The allowance defined in 18.07(a) will be paid to an employee claiming who is assigned by the Board to provide direct supervision to a classification under this subclause must provide evidence crew of three (3) or more students.
(a) The Board shall pay an allowance to custodial employees designated by the Board to test, log, and maintain water and chemical treatment levels and to monitor the operation of equipment at specified cooling tower sites. This allowance shall be payable from May 1st to October 31st, except for periods when the cooling system is shut down for the summer months, as follows: effective September 1, 2008 - $0.70 per hour effective September 1, 2009 - $0.72 per hour effective September 1, 2010 - $0.74 per hour effective September 1, 2011 - $0.76 per hour
(b) Preventative Maintenance Persons responsible for the treatment and monitoring of water treatment facilities will be paid an additional allowance, as follows: effective September 1, 2008 - $0.52 per hour effective September 1, 2009 - $0.54 per hour effective September 1, 2010 - $0.56 per hour effective September 1, 2011 - $0.58 per hour
(a) Effective September 1, 2000 employees required to use their cars for Board business will be paid an allowance for all kilometers actually and necessarily traveled on Board business during paid working hours as in the Board's current policy.
(b) If the employee is required to use his/her car for heavy hauling then he/she shall be paid an additional twenty cents (0.20) per kilometer. This allowance for heavy hauling will be paid for the towing, or the transporting of supplies and equipment of such weight (usually in excess of approximately 150 pounds) that would result in additional or unexpected costs and/or abnormal wear to the employer that they hold that qualification;vehicle.
(c) Notwithstanding Article 18.09 (b), Preventative Maintenance Persons will not receive the additional twenty cents per kilometer for heavy hauling. They will, instead, receive an additional ten cents ($0.10) per kilometer for all kilometers driven using their personal car for authorized Board business.
(d) Provided This allowance is not paid for driving to and from work but where a custodian is temporarily assigned to a school which requires him/her to drive further than the qualification is deemed relevant by distance between his/her home and his/her normally assigned school, then he/she shall be paid the employer, classification under this clause will commence allowance for all kilometers driven which are further than he/she would normally drive going to and from the first full pay period to commence after the employee provides the necessary evidence to the employer;his/her home and his/her normally assigned school.
(e) For transitioning employeesNotwithstanding 18.09(a), employees who previously received a Continuing Education Allowance under the prior Enterprise Agreement for holding a relevant Advanced Diploma, these employees will be automatically transferred to the classification Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma from the first full pay period to commence on by choice work at more than one (1) location or after this Agreement commences as long as the advanced diploma is used and relevant to current scope and specialty;
(f) The introduction in this Agreement of wage rates for Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma who accept additional hours or overtime hours at another location will not result in the reduction in the income of any Enrolled Nurse who previously received an allowance under Clause 13 of the previous Enterprise Agreement;
(g) An Enrolled Nurse with Notation is not be eligible to be classified at either Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Certificate or Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diplomareceive the allowance.

Employees who are required to use their vehicle for authorized business of the Employer shall be reimbursed at the following rate: Ministry of Education Base Rate for Southern Ontario Mileage shall be calculated the first work assignment and end at the last work assignment of each day. An employee who has commenced work prior to September and who has continuous service with the Board and is eligible for retirement under or upon death while in the employ of the Board under the same terms as would make such employee eligible for pension or disability allowance under shall be entitled to a retirement gratuity. The gratuity shall be paid at the rate of of salary per year of service up to fifteen 5) years, plus for each year of service thereafter, to a maximum total of of accumulated sick leave credits provided in Article of this Agreement. Any increases in An employee whose employment commences after September shall not be eligible for retirement gratuity. An Employee who is required to be on standby shall be paid for two (2) hours at the Award rates regular rate of pay for each weekend spent on standby and three (3) hours for each long weekend spent on standby. An Employee shall be absorbed into the wage rates paid under this Agreement. Should the application a premium of any increases awarded twenty-five (25) cents per hour for work performed by the Fair Work Commission Employee during the midnight shift. For purposes of calculating overtime pay or Sunday premium, premiums shall not be considered as part of an Employee's applicable hourly rate. (ii) Allowances are specified in Table 2 of Part B of the Agreement. Allowance increases will be applied based on the detail in Table 2.
(iii) Employees who receive a higher hourly rate of pay or allowance than those specified in Tables 1 and 2 of this Agreement will have those rates absorbed until they reflect the rates contained in this Agreement.
(iv) An Enrolled Nurse with Notation who upgrades to Enrolled Nurse will be classified and paid as an Enrolled Nurse from the commencement of the first full pay period following their registration with the Board as such. The employee will move to the next pay point for an Enrolled Nurse that results in an increase in their hourly rate and the Enrolled Nurse will progress to the next pay point following each year of service.
(viv) An Enrolled Nurse, other than an Enrolled Nurse with Notation, who holds an additional Advanced Certificate qualification or an additional Advanced Diploma qualification will be paid based on the wage schedule specified for Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Certificate or Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma respectively subject to the following conditions:
(a) Payment at this classification is only payable where the Advanced Certificate or Advanced Diploma qualification is deemed by the employer to be directly relevant to the competency and skills used by the Enrolled Nurse in the duties of their position in the Hospital;
(b) Classification at either the Additional Advanced Certificate or Additional Advanced Diploma classifications will be the same irrespective of whether the Enrolled Nurse holds one or more directly relevant Certificates or Diplomas;
(c) The employee claiming a classification under this subclause must provide evidence to the employer that they hold that qualification;
(d) Provided the qualification is deemed relevant by the employer, classification under this clause will commence from the first full pay period to commence after the employee provides the necessary evidence to the employer;
(e) For transitioning employees, who previously received a Continuing Education Allowance under the prior Enterprise Agreement for holding a relevant Advanced Diploma, these employees will be automatically transferred to the classification Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma from the first full pay period to commence on or after this Agreement commences as long as the advanced diploma is used and relevant to current scope and specialty;
(f) The introduction in this Agreement of wage rates for Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma will not result in the reduction in the income of any Enrolled Nurse who previously received an allowance under Clause 13 of the previous Enterprise Agreement;
(g) An Enrolled Nurse with Notation is not eligible to be classified at either Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Certificate or Enrolled Nurse – Additional Advanced Diploma.
(viv) In relation to the salaries of Deputy Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing, "beds" means adjusted daily average of occupied beds; in relation to the salary of Subsidiary Hospital Director of Nursing, "beds" means the adjusted daily average of occupied beds in the subsidiary hospital.
(viivi) The wage increases specified above are inclusive of any wage increases; determination or award of the Fair Work Commission or any other authorised tribunal or commission made during the period of this Agreement. Any increases in the Award rates of pay shall be absorbed into the wage rates paid under this Agreement. Should the application of any increases awarded by the Fair Work Commission to the Nurses Award 2010 result in rates applicable to the employees that are greater than those applying in this Agreement, then the rates of pay the Nurses Award 2010 will be applied in lieu of the rates of pay in this Agreement.

Any increases employee employed by the Board before June who re- ceives wages by cheque, shall continue to have the right to be paid accordingly or may to accept wage payments through deposit. Employees may, upon giving ten (‘IO) working days notice to ‘the Payroll Supervisor, receive on the last office day preceding of their annual vacation any salary cheques which may fall due dur- ing the period of their vacation. Wages and Allowances. (i) In the first pay period on or after the approval of this Agreement, Healthscope will pay to each employee other than a Migrating Employee a sign on bonus equivalent to 1% of the earnings paid by Healthscope to the employee in the period from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. For the sake of clarity, this 1% sign on bonus will be payable on all wages, allowances, loadings, overtime and penalties whatsoever.
