Common use of Weed Control Clause in Contracts

Weed Control. All annual/perennial beds and mulched areas shall be weeded by hand throughout the term of the Agreement to maintain a neat and uniform appearance. Other areas may be controlled with chemical herbicides provided that the herbicide is a selective type listed for use among the specific plants planted within the treated areas. Weeding of these aforementioned areas shall be performed along with the regular mowing schedule to maintain a neat appearance. During the non– growing season, all facilities shall be inspected at least monthly for weeds and controlled as needed. Grassed areas at facilities so designated by the Agreement for such treatment shall be treated with a pre- and post-emergent herbicide to control and/or eliminate all non-grass weeds.
