Weekend Shift. When a weekend shift is required for Roads Division for winter control between November 15th and April 15th, it shall be in compliance with this clause. Any extension to these dates shall be by the mutual consent of the City and the Union. Weekend shifts will be limited to no more than two employees per shift, unless otherwise agreed to by the City and the Union. The hours of work for the weekend shift shall be as follows and will include two – one-half hour meal breaks. 11:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. – shift to start 11:00 p.m. Friday and finish at 11:00 a.m. Sunday. 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. – shift to start 11:00 a.m. Saturday and finish at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday. Employees assigned to the weekend shift shall take the preceding Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. If these employees are called in to work on these days, they will be paid as if Wednesday and Thursday were a Saturday (14.04) and as if Friday were a Sunday (14.05).
