The WORK LIMITATIONS clause defines the boundaries and restrictions on the type, scope, or manner of work that may be performed under an agreement. WORK LIMITATIONS. 13.1 No employee in the bargaining unit whether working or on layoff will be laid off work by reason of any person outside the bargaining unit performing any work which is normally performed by employees in the bargaining unit providing the equipment and work are available. The Employer agrees to discuss with the Union Chairperson or designate the outsourcing of work normally performed by bargaining unit employees as far in advance of the outsourcing as possible in order to consider options for maintaining such work in-house.
13.2 Salaried employees, not subject to the provisions of this Agreement, shall not perform work normally performed by members of the bargaining unit except that they may perform such work in the following situations:
1) in emergencies arising out of unforeseen circumstances which call for immediate action to avoid interruptions of operations, and
2) in the instruction or training of employees including demonstrating the proper method to accomplish the task assigned, and 3) in the performance of work of an experimental nature.
WORK LIMITATIONS. The Union agrees that there shall be no limitations or restrictions placed by the Union or the employees upon the individual working efforts of the employees or upon the tools, materials and equipment on and with which they are required to work.
WORK LIMITATIONS. Manager shall not undertake any construction work performed or funded pursuant to this Agreement cumulatively exceeding $25,000, any alteration, demolition, repair or maintenance work performed or funded pursuant to this Agreement cumulatively exceeding $15,000, or any other work pursuant to this Agreement that would be subject to California Labor Code sections 1720 through 1861.
WORK LIMITATIONS i. All spaces where work will be done may be occupied by Owner’s personnel unless agreed to in writing beforehand.
ii. Contractor must schedule and perform Work in such a manner so as not to disrupt existing building systems such as, but not limited to existing electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. Existing systems must remain fully functional at all times unless agreed to in writing beforehand.
iii. Contractor must provide Owner with a minimum 48-hours’ notice before starting demolition of any area that may disturb Owner’s operations.
iv. Contractor must maintain required exists and exist pathways at all times unless agreed to in writing beforehand.
WORK LIMITATIONS. Work normally performed by employees covered hereunder shall not be performed by supervisory or salaried employees of Employer unless qualified employees are not available except for the purpose of instruction or in case of emergencies.
WORK LIMITATIONS. No supervisor or other employee outside the bargaining unit shall perform any of the duties regularly and customarily performed by employees covered by this Agreement, except when necessary in order to protect life, limb or property; or to instruct or train other employees: or in emergencies in order to maintain adequate and uninterrupted service to the public.
WORK LIMITATIONS. There shall be no limitation placed on the amount of work to be performed by any ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ during working hours nor will any slowdowns, stand-by crews, or the paying or receiving of monies for services not actually performed be permitted except as outlined in this Agreement.
WORK LIMITATIONS. The Union prohibits piece work of any description. There shall be no limitation placed on the amount of work to be performed by any ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ during working hours.
WORK LIMITATIONS. 22.01 The Company agrees that employees who are not covered by the Collective Agreement will not perform any bargaining unit work, except in the case of emergency or when no qualified bargaining unit employee is available. In the event a bargaining unit employee is not able to report for work, then non-bargaining unit employees can operate equipment until a suitable bargaining unit replacement can be called in.
22.02 The Company will have the right to contract out bargaining unit work provided that no full time employee is terminated or laid off in the classification being contracted out. Additionally, the Company will not be permitted to contract out bargaining unit work, if the work being contracted out results in a layoff or a reduction in regularly scheduled hours in the classification.
22.03 In the event overtime is required, the Company will first offer bargaining unit employees the overtime, subject to Article 12, before arranging to call in non-bargaining unit employees. Bargaining unit work is defined as work performed by employees in the classifications listed in Schedule “A”.
22.04 The Company agrees to maintain a minimum of bargaining unit personnel in the maintenance department equal to the current ratio of maintenance employees to total bargaining unit employees which is 1:6.
WORK LIMITATIONS. The work to be performed pursuant to this Agreement shall be limited and defined by Penal Code section 4024.2(b)(1). SWAP individuals may:
a. Improve or maintain levees or public facilities, including, but not limited to, streets, parks, and schools.
b. Perform manual labor in support of nonprofit organizations;
c. Conduct graffiti cleanup for local governmental entities, including participation in a graffiti abatement program;

e. Perform house repairs or yard services for senior citizens and the performance of repairs to senior centers through contact with local senior service organizations Any manual labor must not involve the SWAP individual’s use of, or handling of, machinery, vehicles or power tools. Manual labor may include using simple hand tools, raking grass, weed pulling, cleaning animal pens, feeding animals, emptying trash cans, general sweeping and litter clean-up, and may require lifting up to thirty (30) pounds. Equipment operation will be performed only by qualified UCPW employees. Where appropriate, UCPW will provide SWAP individuals with well-maintained safety equipment including, but not limited to, signs, hard hats and safety vests.
