WORKWEEK AND HOURS OF WORK. The workday, workweek, and the work schedule of unit members shall be designated by the District. Changes may be made by the District in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis on a non-regular or emergency basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District. If at all practicable, a minimum of one (1) workday notice shall be given prior to extending the unit member’s workday or workweek. Nothing in this Article shall be deemed to prevent the District from establishing a workday of less than eight (8) hours or a workweek of less than forty (40) hours for any of its classified positions.
