WORKWEEK AND HOURS OF WORK. 12.1 The standard workweek for full-time custodial employees shall be five (5) consecutive days consisting of eight (8) hours per day within an eight and one-half (8 1/2) hour period, including a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted meal period, for a total of forty (40) hours per week. Alternate work weeks of four (4) days of ten (10) hours may be utilized in collaboration with the supervisor. All hours worked in excess of eight (8) per day or forty (40) per week shall be paid at time-and-a-half except that there shall be no compounding of overtime. For an alternate work week of four (4), ten (10) hour days, any time worked in excess of ten (10) hours on a single day or more than forty (40) hours in a work week shall be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half (1½) per hour. 12.2 A fifteen (15) minute rest period is authorized during each consecutive four (4) hours of work.
