Advanced Practice Provider definition
Advanced Practice Provider means a type of Allied Health Professional who provides a medical level of care or performs surgical tasks consistent with granted clinical privileges, but who is required by law and/or the Hospital to exercise some or all of those clinical privileges under the direction of, or in collaboration with, a Supervising Physician.
Advanced Practice Provider or "APP" means those physician assistants, advanced practice registered nurses, and other allied health professionals, as designated in the APP Policy, who have applied for and/or been granted Privileges to practice at the Hospital either independently, or in collaboration with or under the supervision of a Physician, Dentist, or Podiatrist, as applicable, with Medical Staff appointment and Privileges at the Hospital.
Advanced Practice Provider or “APP” means an individual who is not a Physician or Practitioner, but who is duly licensed to practice in the State of Florida by their respective Florida licensing boards, who is qualified by academic and clinical training to perform acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon applied principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences, and who may otherwise function in a medical support role and provide direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of a Physician or other Practitioner. Advanced Practice Provider means a nurse practitioner, nurse-midwife, nurse anesthetist, clinical nurse specialist, or physician assistant.
Advanced Practice Provider or "APP" means an individual, other than a physician, who is qualified to render direct or indirect medical or surgical care who has been afforded privileges within their scope of practice to provide such care in the Hospital in accordance with state licensure regulations. The authority of an APP to provide specified patient care services is established by the Medical Staff based on the professional's qualifications.
Advanced Practice Provider means an individual who is qualified within the limitations of his/her license and credentials as required by state law to exercise independent professional judgment or to be accorded Privileges to render medical or surgical care under the supervision of or in collaboration with a Medical Staff Appointee who has been accorded the comparable Privileges to provide such care in the Hospital. Such APPs may include but are not limited to certified registered nurse anesthetists, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, and nurse practitioners.
Advanced Practice Provider or “APP” means a type of Practitioner who exercises independent judgment within the area of his or her professional competence and the limits established by the Medical Staff, the Board of Directors, and the applicable Arizona Practice Acts who is qualified to render direct or indirect medical care under the sponsorship and/or direction of a Sponsoring Physician who is a Medical Staff Member possessing Clinical Privileges at Summit Healthcare pursuant to a written Sponsorship agreement. Advanced Practice Provider means those non-physicians, non-dentists, and non- podiatrists who participate in a certain level of patient care in the Medical Center and who may or may not be employees of the Medical Center, but who have been granted privileges to practice as APPs at the Medical Center.
