Examples of General Leave in a sentence
Such employees shall be considered as being on an unpaid leave in accordance with Article 20.5 (General Leave) except that seniority shall continue to accrue based on regular hours.
Further time off by the employee to attend to the situation is considered at their discretion and will be taken as vacation, time in lieu, General Leave of Absence, or any applicable leave as directed by policy.
The combined use of General Leave shall not exceed fifteen (15) days per fiscal year.

Said requests shall be submitted in writing at least one (1) month prior to the date requested setting forth the reason for leave, the length of such leave and the expected date of expiration of General Leave.
A disability income protection plan shall be provided for all employees covered by the General Leave Program.
Employees waiting for approval of Employment Insurance Compassionate Care Benefits may be granted general leave as per Article 20.6 (General Leave).
The first three (3) days of such absence shall be deducted from the General Leave provided for in Article 19.11.
