Infrastructure Stack Software described in Attachment 4-B, tab “Server Software”. One (1) Instance in service on the last day of a calendar month equals one RU. Instances shall be classified by DIR as Gold, Silver, or Bronze, each as determined using the Service Tier methodology described in Attachment 4-E, and shall remain in such classification for at least ninety (90) days. An Instance classified within a tier will receive the support services as defined by that tier. The level of support for these Instances is described in the Service Tier Matrix, including the entry requirements, monitoring, storage requirements to enable disaster recovery objectives, and service levels. The deployment of a new Server Instance must be approved by a DIR Customer in accordance with the established process and billing triggers aligned with the CMDB status fields prior to the inclusion of the new Server Instance in the DIR Customer’s monthly Charges. Service Provider will develop such processes and billing triggers for the deployment of new Server Instances, including during Refresh and Transformation, and for the simultaneous decommission of the existing Server Instance, for inclusion in the Service Management Manual. In particular, there shall be no overlap in billing when a new Server Instance replaces an existing Server Instance during Transformation or Refresh except where approved in advance by the DIR Customer (e.g. for extended user testing cycles or application remediation). The dates for commencement and/or cessation of billing shall all be recorded in the CMDB and validated by the DIR Customer. The decommission of the existing Server Instance will be set to the same date the new Server Instance is deployed, operational and in service for Customer use in the destination environment. Service Provider will not charge duplicative Server Instance ARCs due to the planned Data Center and Server Consolidation projects, as support costs for such Instances are included in Transition and Transformation Charges set forth in Attachment 4-A. Server Equipment and Software installed during the consolidation projects shall be charged as set forth in Section 10. When Service Provider establishes duplicative Instances during a Server consolidation or Data Center consolidation, Service Provider will provide DIR with reasonable notice of the testing period to accept such Instance. Initial Test or Initial Test Environment Means the system environment that closely simulates Development; it is the first stage of testing and is often subject to numerous changes. DIR Customers may have more than one Initial Test Environment. In-Scope Means those Services or resources that are the subject of Service Provider's obligations under the Agreement. Instance Means one running OS kernel process that manages: (i) all of or a discrete subset of the Server's persistent storage (disk), volatile storage (memory), and central processing units; and (ii) a single list of processes (process table). Depending on the Server's configuration, one or more Instance may run on a single application physical Server. Instances in a clustered configuration shall be deemed to be discrete Instances, though each Instance within a cluster shall accommodate different tiers , depending on DIR requirements. In accordance with Exhibit 4, certain Operating System Instances shall be classified by DIR by the variables as described in the Server Service Tier Matrix document attached as Attachment 4-E. Interagency Agreement Means an agreement, as authorized by Chapter 771, Texas Government Code, entered into between DIR and any DIR Customer pursuant to which Services are provided to such DIR Customer. IRS Means the Internal Revenue Service; a division of the U.S. Treasury Department responsible for collecting taxes. IT Management Customer Satisfaction Survey Means the survey delivered to DIR Customer IT Management, including but not limited to DIR Customer Representatives and Statewide Technology Services Advisory Council members. Integrated Test Lab (ITL) The ITL enables DCS Customer DR testing on compatible equipment without affecting those environments that will be repurposed in the event of an actual disaster. The equipment in the ITL is not available at time of disaster as recovery equipment for DCS Customer Applications DR Target systems. The DR Target Systems are typically designated Test and/or Development systems that are repurposed in the event of a disaster to become Production systems.
